I own a copy of the original Tron movie, there you go. I will also admit that my iPad holds Star Trek movies, Red Dwarf, Hyperdrive, Star Wars and Logans Run – yeah you heard me Logans Run. Now that’s out-of-the-way. Let me tell you about the latest addition to my sci-fi collection, Tron the Legacy.
I think this movie is how the original movie was envisioned, but the technology just wasn’t around then. The special effects, imagery is outstanding you can tell that this was the core focus of making the movie. I guess what I mean is,that I think they spent more time in making this a visual spectacular, which is awesome, but not enough time making the story line fit. This is a movie for fans, I say this because a fan knows the story. I knew the story, having watched the original Tron many many times over the years. However not everyone is a fan of Tron, I discovered that there are people who haven’t seen the first movie… yes I know, how is that possible? So you can’t sit down and watch this movie without knowing the background, and be able to ‘get’ it. That said this movie was a little easier to follow, than the now 28 year old first Tron movie and (this is going out on that little limb there) I think it is better than its prequel, which can be hard to achieve – think about Jar Jar Binks and that first foray into adding on to a decades old story – and you’ll get my point. In a nutshell, I liked it, the Husband liked and surprisingly so did our big Autie boy – but we realise our taste is not the usual 😉 Oh did I mention the soundtrack? Totally awesome, and done by Daft Punk, am looking for it on iTunes right now.

Where do I start?? I loved 16 candles and the breakfast club… What a deluded young woman I was, I woke up soon enough. I guess I loved those romantic soppy teen films that you like when you are a teenager growing up in the 80’s. Plus the music was so bad it was good. (Sorry I know you said one but I couldn’t decide).

You have a copy of the original Tron? How on earth did you manage that? I tried getting it on ebay but was out bid 😦 I remember going to the movies to see that.
My favourite 80’s movie .. well I am a BIG fan of Star Trek & I love Star Trek: The Voyage Home. Although that was my only favourite 80’s movie I loved Dirty Dancing as well. Oh I can’t forget American Werewolf in London. Sorry I couldn’t choose only one.

The Original Star Wars Trilogy movies (they are one long story all together after all!)… it just cannot be anything else, given that it gets played over and over and over again by my husband and my 11 year old son!( help! lol)

I was only a baby then 🙂 and I still love all the songs ( I had to buy it for my kids from the US lol)
My favorite 90s movie would have to be ever after with Drew Barrymore.
It’s a beautiful movie with funny bits and bits that made me cry awesome movie

The Three Musketeers was my favourite, I still Hear “D’Artagnon!!” if I listen closely to the wind….
Oh and The Crow, it shaped me into the well rounded adult i am today.. I only twitch a little bit 😉

I went to China after I left school because I loved the series so much it inspired me to see the scenery.
